The training is composed of several modules :

Module 1 : Explanation of and practice in the different techniques of etching :

• The most classical, using only line (Technique of Rembrandt, Piranèse).
• The technique of aquatint.
• The synthesis of the two previous techniques (See Goya).
• Working with substances by learning the technique of soft ground.
• Working with paint brushes, the open bite technique.
• The technique of sugar aquatint.
• Embossing. ("Gaufrage")

Module 2 : Explanation of and practice in the different techniques of engraving :

• Engraving (Burin).
• Dry Point.
• Mezzotint.
• Printing in black and white.

Module 3 : Exploration of the different possibilities of printing in colour :

• Printing with 3 plates.
• The technique of S.W.HAYTER (inking a single plate with rollers ).
• Printing in colour with successive inkings of a single plate using tarlatatan ("à la poupée").
